Application Requirements

Email Address
An email address is required for your application. We require this information to ensure that we can best serve you and provide you with the most up-to-date college information in the most expeditious manner.

Social Security Number (SSN) and Date of Birth
Saint Paul College requests your Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth to help identify your record within the system and ensure that all of your data is matched together, including financial aid application information, if applicable. If you provide your SSN and Date of Birth, it will be used by school officials for positive identification, institutional research, and required state and federal reporting. It may also be used within the system for purposes such as system consumer and alumni relations and to create summary data about system programs through data matches with other state agencies.

Program Start Dates
Make sure the program you are selecting starts on the semester for which you are applying. DO NOT APPLY FOR MORE THAN ONE PROGRAM.

Required Education
To be accepted into Saint Paul College, you will need to have earned or will earn your high school or GED diploma. If you are currently in high school and applying to the PSEO program, please view the eligibility requirements.

Your Privacy
The College is asking you to provide information that includes private information under state and federal law. You are not legally required to provide the information the College is requesting, however, the College may not be able to effectively process your application if you do not provide sufficient information. With some exceptions, unless you consent to further release of private information, access to this information will be limited to school officials, including faculty who have legitimate educational interests in the information. Under certain circumstances, federal and state laws authorize release of private information without your consent.

  • To other schools in which you seek or intend to enroll, or are enrolled, if you are first notified of the release
  • To federal, state, or local officials for purposes of program compliance, audit, or evaluation
  • As appropriate in connection with your application for, or receipt of, financial aid
  • To your parents, if your parents claim you as a dependent student for tax purposes
  • If the information is sought with a subpoena, court order, or otherwise permitted by other state of federal law, and
  • To an organization in educational research or accrediting agency

Federal and State legislation requires that the contents of student files be open to review by the student. Application forms, high school transcripts, test dates, letters, and recommendations that are sent as part of any application for admission will be open to the student’s review upon request.

Taking Online Classes?
Are you planning on taking online courses? Please note that when selecting your “Major-Academic Program of Interest,” select “On Campus” delivery method to see all of Saint Paul College’s majors. You can then view and select online course options when registering for specific courses.

Immunization

Minnesota State Law (M.S. 135 A.14) requires that all students born after 1956 who are enrolled in a public or private post-secondary school in Minnesota be immunized against measles, mumps, and rubella. There are certain specific exemptions to this law as noted on the Immunization Form provided as part of the application for admission. All others must complete the attached Immunization Form. The information provided on the Immunization form will, by law, will be made available for review by the Minnesota Department of Health and the local community health board.

Notification of Admission

You will receive notification via email that you’ve been admitted to Saint Paul College, and you will also receive information about attending a New Student Orientation, Advising & Registration session. At Orientation, you’ll have an opportunity to register earlier with the assistance of an advisor.

    • ACT/SAT/MCA scores within the last 5 years
    • AP classes in which the college-level assessment was passed with a 3 or higher
    • IB classes in which the college-level assessment was passed with a 4 or higher
    • Obtain unofficial transcript(s) College in The School classes
    • High School transcripts with a GPA of 2.8 or higher within the last 10 years

PSEO Students

PSEO enables eligible Minnesota high school Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors to take college classes for high school and/or college credit.

The purpose of the Saint Paul College PSEO program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and provide a wider variety of options than what may be available in the high school setting.

COMPASS Student

Graduate on time and debt-free with Saint Paul College’s COMPASS Program. Designed for recent high school graduates and Pell Grant recipients, our program offers financial assistance to cover tuition, fees, textbooks, transportation, and basic needs.

International Students

The international student application process is for those students who will be applying for, or already have, an F-1 visa to attend Saint Paul College.

New Student

If you’re an incoming new student at Saint Paul College, we wish you a warm welcome. We’ll help you submit your application; get reading, math and English placements; declare your major; register for classes; set up tuition payments; and more.

Transfer Student

You may be transferring to Saint Paul College from somewhere else or bringing your credits earned here to a four-year college or university. Either way, our Pathway Advisors are here to help you navigate the transfer.

High School / PSEO

Postsecondary enrollment options (PSEO) allow eligible high school Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors in public, nonpublic, or home schools to take college classes for high school and/or college credits. Best of all, these credits are earned for free.

International Student

Students of every nationality and background are welcome to learn and earn credits here at Saint Paul College. We currently have students from 62 different countries represented on our campus. Because we have guaranteed conditional admissions with other universities, many students begin their studies here for a fraction of the cost and then transfer their credits to a four-year university.

Adult Learner

Being an adult learner returning to college or attending for the first time can be intimidating. But we’re here to make sure the process feels as seamless as possible for you. We’ll make sure you know how flexible your options are for classes and all the additional resources you may find helpful like daycare for your kids.

Take-a-Class or Visiting Student

If you prefer, you are welcome to start by taking a single class to complete a credit, explore an interest, or simply decide if Saint Paul College is right for you. Let’s chat about what you’re looking for and what works best for fitting the course into your schedule.
